Chapter 1210

Mylo rejoiced.
“Contact Mekhi and let him know that Nathan is out of the house. It’s his turn to keep a close watch on him.”
After about ten minutes, Hilliard drove through the snow to the lab.
Aldric conducted a blood test on Nathan before leaving work.
When the test results arrived, Hilliard studied the report in his hand with an impassive expression.

Alarmed by his grave demeanor, Cyrus asked, “Hilliard, tell me, how is Nathan doing?”
Nathan sat quietly on the bed, waiting for Hilliard to talk.
Hilliard scrutinized the test results intently and, after a while, delivered his diagnosis in a cold tone, “The medication I prescribed is effective, and the virus’ spread has significantly slowed down.
However, I still need to run a CT scan on his brain.”
“That sounds like good news. Why the serious expression then?” Cyrus inquired.
Without uttering a word, Hilliard turned and left to find Aldric for Nathan’s CT scan.
As his brother walked away, Cyrus shook his head helplessly and mused, “I wonder what kind of woman will eventually melt my brother’s icy heart.”
Hilliard, who had just exited the room, overheard his words clearly.
He halted for a moment.
Over the past six months, a stubborn girl had persistently confessed her love to him. However, due to Nathan’s situation, he hadn’t seen her in nearly a week.

He assumed she had given up and returned to Forden.
Hilliard lowered his head silently. His eyes turned cold as he swiftly collected himself and strode forward.
About thirty minutes later, Hilliard returned with the results of Nathan’s brain CT scan.
“It turns out his blindness is a result of the virus spreading rapidly after the failure of the drug. This has led to a brain tumor that is putting pressure on his central nerve,” Hilliard explained.
“Brain tumor?!”
Cyrus exclaimed, shocked. He may not have had much medical knowledge, but he understood that tumors were never a good sign.
Cyrus glanced at Nathan instinctively.
Nathan, however, remained his usual calm and indifferent self with his head lowered.
Hilliard went on, “It’s a small benign tumor. We can remove it through surgery, and with the help of medication, his eyes should be effectively cured.”
